JK Rowling just won her Twitter war with Piers Morgan

JK Rowling just won her Twitter war with Piers Morgan

As their ongoing feud continues, JK Rowling has trolled Piers Morgan - while his son has taken her side with a Harry Potter tattoo. On top of this blow, Morgan has already been called out on Twitter for liberally quoting from Harry Potter after claiming he's never read it, and an independent bookstore is tweeting the series at him. In her caption she asked that the writer let her know who he was.

The praise, it turned out, had been written a couple of years earlier by Morgan himself. I'd love to thank him!

Piers didn't take her post without a fight, calling her out for her "Priceless #humblebrag BS". Just surprised I put her as high as 97'.

The former Daily Mirror editor had written glowingly about the author in a Daily Mail column in 2010, headlined: "The 100 British celebrities who really matter by Piers Morgan".

The stars kicked off an expletive-ridden row on Twitter on Saturday after JK expressed her glee at the broadcaster being sworn at by Australian comedian Jim Jefferies during an appearance on panel show Real Time With Bill Maher.

Such is the interest in the slinging match that YouGov even commissioned a poll asking the nation who they preferred: JK Rowling or Piers Morgan?

"Nobody plays the celebrity game more abusively or ruthlessly than you, Ms "Intensely Private Billionaire", he tweeted.

Taking to Twitter again in response to a user saying "he doesn't realise" and "this is the best day of my life", Piers wrote: 'Relax, quarter-wit, I knew what it was.
