World's heaviest women's surgery was successful done in Mumbai !

World's heaviest women's surgery was successful done in Mumbai !

The Daily Mail reported Abd El Aty lost 66 pounds in five days with a strict 1,200 calorie diet in preparation for the surgery.

Ms Ahmed has been in hospital since February 10th when she was moved out of her home for the first time in 25 years by removing the wall from her room and a crane lifted out her bed.

Weighing an estimated 500 kgs, Eman (36) was flown to Mumbai in a special cargo aircraft in February to undergo medical treatment for weight reduction.

Eman Ahmed, after her first laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy surgery, is able to sit.

The patient "is now fed with oral fluids and accepts them well".

A spokesperson for the hospital said Abd El Aty was likely to lose more weight in the coming months.

There is no history of obesity in her family, inclining the doctors to suspect a genetic mutation may be responsible for the uncontrolled weight gain.

Dr Muffazal Lakdawala, the bariatric surgeon treating Eman, said: 'We thought she would lose around 50kg, but we are surprised to observe that she has lost more than 100kg.

It was revealed that Eman "had an uneventful surgery and anaesthesia course".

Eman was reportedly born with elephantiasis - a parasitic infection which causes extreme swelling in a person's limbs and arms.

An Egyptian woman has undergone bariatric surgery in an effort to shed a hefty amount of weight.

She also suffers from sleep apnea, hypothyroid, diabetes, hypertension, kidney problems and fluid retention.

Ms. Abd El Aty had difficulty traveling to India.

In December 2016, Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj helped her obtain a visa to India, where a team of dedicated local doctors are supervising her case. According to the team of doctors, Egyptian women weight had been brought under 400 kilograms since she arrived in Mumbai in early February. Once her condition stabilises, we will send her back home.

Bariatric surgery involves banding or removing part of the stomach, which limits food intake.

It is increasingly common in India, which has a growing problem with obesity, particularly in urban areas.
