Kidnapped woman escapes trunk of moving auto

Kidnapped woman escapes trunk of moving auto

Dramatic surveillance video shows the moment a kidnapping victim hopped out of the trunk of a moving auto in Alabama and dashed to her freedom.

According to AL.com, the 25-year-old woman was abducted at gunpoint from her apartment in Avondale.

The woman told police that the kidnapper drove the woman to various locations, where authorities believe the man used ATMs to withdraw money from the woman's account.

AlSabah noted that the man became angry when he was unable to withdraw money.

That's where the station owners say they tried to use the woman's credit card to withdraw money from an ATM.

'He was not right. there was something going on with him, ' Alsabah said. "I saw the trunk popped up", AlSabah told NBC News, "a woman ran inside". She said she didn't have any funds to give him, so the man reportedly forced her into his trunk.

"He looked like he had a pistol in his pocket - I kept an eye on him".

He said the man got "mad" after being unable to get the ATM card to work and then watched as he returned to the vehicle, and drove away.

When the man drives off, a woman can be seen jumping out of the vehicle's boot while it is still moving.

He let the woman inside the store and hid her in a back closet with his shotgun.

Alsabah said the woman sustained some cuts and was later taken to a hospital by a family member.
